The Lee’s Summit Chamber is excited to announce the return of Oktoberfest this fall — Sept. 25-27 — within the Green Street festival grounds.

The festival, presented by Bill Fry The Plumbing Guy, highlights German cultural traditions with traditional folk tunes, dancing, sing-alongs and competitions like the Stein Hoisting Competition and Fashion Faceoff on the German Stage. Wear your best Lederhosen or Dirndl as you take in the sights and sounds of Munich with German meals, craft beer, and a craft vendor fair showcasing unique treasures, handmade products and creations.

For families needing lighter fare, the festival features two brat tents with our iconic extra-large Bavarian pretzels and cheese, brats and more. Wine enthusiasts will love our Winezelt tent, and foodies won’t want to miss out on mouth-watering funnel cakes and root beer. Craft beer with local selections will be available all weekend long!

Our fan-favorite Pony Rides & Petting Zoo Experience returns with opportunities for kids to get up close with some of their favorite farm animals. Plus, bring a bag to collect candy during our Harvest Celebration-themed Wagon Parade featuring hand-pulled wagons through the heart of the festival. Kids Street is another popular spot to take part in fun games and interactive activities hosted by local businesses.

The People’s Choice Home Brew Competition and Tasting Experience is back this year with more than 16 home brewers vying for your vote as Best Brewer, People’s Choice and Best in Showmanship.

The Main Stage features a mix of must-see headliners like Dolewite and Twice on Sunday along with show-stopping performances from local community groups all weekend long — with an exclusive performance by Mr. Stinky Feet for the kiddos!   New This Year
